PA is currently a state where you will serve a mandatory life sentence if convicted of second degree murder. This law is a travesty in its existence. A second degree conviction doesn't require you to hurt anyone or have any intent for anyone to be hurt; it requires your participation in separate crime when a homicide takes place.
