We recently upgraded our core router. We have been a Cisco user since we started aspStation in 2000. The new core router is made by Arista. It is faster and has more BGP routing table space.

It has been a while since I posted about the office space in our building for rent in the Bloomfield section of Pittsburgh. We have single offices, multiple offices, or an entire 6000 sq ft floor. We include parking based on sq ft leased. We include utilites and Internet. If you have equipment in our data center, we include a dedicated private connection. aspStation has joined the Pittsburgh Internet Exchange with a 10G fiber connection. There are several local companies using this exchange so connections between exchange members will have fewer hops.

The fire at the Gulf Tower is causing a few power problems for our equipment at the top of the Tower. Hopefully, this will be repaired quickly. It could take two years for a complete restoration.

We have added a software load balance container to our list of special purpose applications. The charge is based on the number of days needed and the bandwidth used. Call us if you need such a feature.

We added more Linux container and docker servers to our cluster. We also upgraded all of our upstream Internet connections to 10G bps. It has been a busy summer.
