This question keeps coming up for me: what would it feel like to ONLY make decisions that resonated with your heart?
There is this part of me that's like - that would feel LIFE-GIVING! Let's to THAT!
And I have this deep excitement about diving in to this way of living. And in many ways, my day to day choices do resonate with my heart. Where they don't, they are becoming extremely clear.
But my typical response to ignore the decisions not aligned with my heart - or bypass them with gratitude - is proving impossible.
Can you relate to that??
In this clarity, I am asking God, angels, my higher self, to all come forward and help me. But - asking for permission from other people can only really get you so far. Because the support is there! And it's still me to that has to take the step. For myself, I am specifically perceiving that the time is nigh for me to say yes to myself.
More than say yes, the time is now to take full responsibility for my life path.
You may say - oh how wonderful! And indeed, part of me says that, too. But we all know this is scary as hell to take off the training wheels and follow our hearts in the path of uncertainty, trusting that each step where we only see a void will still result in our feet meeting the earth. But that feeling - what if I fall into oblivion!!! gives us pause.
And we must access the strength of our hearts to go forward fully into our own life.
There is a Harry Potter moment that illustrates this concept perfectly.
----Harry Potter Spoiler---
There is a moment when Harry almost dies. Well that's in all of the books lol! Specifically, dementors who are magically barred from entering the Hogwarts school have swarmed an area of campus. Harry and his mentor are targeted. His mentor dies (soul painfully sucked from his body), and the dementors go in on Harry.
He is about to die, when a magnificent spell from the woods appears to ward off the dementors. And this spell runs in the form of a white light stag. Now stags are unbelievably special because this is his dad's symbol. Harry now realizes he has been saved by his dead father in some way. He is in awe, and deeply desires to see his dad just one last time.
Then, unexpectedly, that opportunity presents itself!
Harry is given a special watch to turn back time so he can solve another problem. He has to take special care not to let his past self see him (for sanity reasons), but he sets the time to allow himself to come face to face with his dad who saved him from the dementors.
He positions himself in the woods where he can see his dad.
The time is coming! And then......the time passes. Where is his dad? His savior?
He looks upon his past self - not eerily close to death, closer than before. The dementors have practically sucked the whole soul out of his body.
He has a devastating realization.
HE was his own savior. It was HIMSELF all along.
He conjures up the spell - and sure enough - sees a white light stag save his past self from complete death.
And so it is with us --- there comes a time when WE save ourselves. When we decide to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY, in the most loving way, for our own life path.
As always, with love,
Dr. Steph
