I talked about how your confidence starts with how you see yourself and why your confidence has to be more than how you look and so much more! Beyond grateful to have met so many phenomenal women and to hear their stories. Thankful to all the people who attended and provided support. Truly blessed have been able to help, encourage, and inspire so many! But It doesn’t stop here! So much more work to be done. So many things in the works!

I know you have heard people say to “get out of your feelings.” And honestly, sometimes that can be a lot harder than it sounds. The truth of the matter is, you aren’t always going to feel like a boss, winner, successful, blessed....etc. and sometimes you may not even feel beautiful. We can sometimes feel an array of emotions all in one day!! Trust me, your feelings are valid. But if we always stand on how we feel we will never truly get to where we are aspiring to be. That’s why you have to go off the facts of life! Even when I don’t feel blessed, I know that I am! Even when I don’t feel like a boss, I know that I am! you got to get some grit and backbone to know that your feelings may change, but the facts don’t!

If a door just closed in your life, get ready for a bigger and better door to open for you! sometimes we can become upset/hurt over an opportunity that didn’t work out. Sometimes things not working out are the best thing that could’ve happened to you! Because what is truly meant for you, will never pass you up! We often grieve over closed doors when sometimes there was nothing behind them, to begin with. Every time a door has been closed in my life, something better has always come along!
If God is making you wait or changing your direction, just know he is leading you to something better than you could have imagined! Be encouraged!❤️

Whatever your craft is, you deserve to be paid and compensated for it. Period!! I’m all for the hustle and paying your dues. But there comes a time when you need to charge what you're worth. And that is determined by your years of experience, expertise, published work, professional affiliations, and much more. If you are doing business, you should be getting paid! Period!! stop letting people play you and try to talk you out of your price or try to dissect why are you charge what you charge. Stick to your guns and price your services accordingly. The right people won’t have any problems paying you or supporting you!

truth be told, the only people who are throwing shade at you haven’t discovered their own worth and how they can shine as well. Because when you are confident in who you are, there’s no room for hating on someone else because you want to see everyone win! And Someone trying to dim your light will never work! I can still celebrate you shining and doing well in life without taking away from how I may be shining in some area of my life. We can shine together!!! Period!! What God has for you is for you. never apologize or be ashamed of that. Rise above it! And remember them throwing shade at you won’t ever stop you from shining!

Sometimes you have to sit back and look at how blessed and dope you really are!! Stop that negative talk and putting yourself down because of what you don’t have. Celebrate where you are! Everything you went through brought you to this very moment. You were created for a purpose! Your life matters!! Stop sleeping on your greatness and take it up a notch.

to keep it 💯 rejection hurts everyone. Doesn’t matter how confident, assured, grounded you are at some point in your life if you have experienced rejection it can affect you in one way or another. But I have learned that sometimes rejection can be a redirection to something far greater than you could have imagined or planned for yourself. Whether the rejection you experienced was in your business by not getting certain connections are contracts, a job not hiring or promoting you, or in relationships by having unrequited love or a family dynamic and so forth. Don’t allow someone or a situation that has rejected you cause you to lose your self-worth or have a tainted view of your self-image. You are still worthy of love and every great opportunity. The best thing to do is just to reject the negativity that came along with it and redirect it into something positive in your life! ❤️

I remember when I first started out as a freelance fashion stylist. I didn’t have a website or even a business card at that time. This was back in 2007/2008. I was so eager to get out there and make connections to let people know about this talent/gift that I have. At the time, I didn’t even have a car. I was catching the public transportation bus and sometimes even a cab to and from different networking events just to get my name out there. I remember even taking on gigs that were unpaid just because I wanted the experience and I wasn’t quite established yet. The more I put hard work and grind in to pursuing my dreams..... and showed people that I was serious about my craft and wanting to build my business.....that is when I started to make bigger connections and eventually got paid gigs, my website, LLC, business bank account, and a load of other things and other major opportunities that came along with that. Now here I am today, so many years later with a load of experience under my belt and proud of all the blood, sweat, and tears that I put into my business. I still have bigger goals and so much more that I want to do and learn.
The point is don’t fake it till you make it! Put in the work and I guarantee you and I’m speaking from experience that you will get everything you want and so much more! Hustle it out! 💪🏾❤️

I'm all for looking dope. But just make sure you're taking out the time to build your self-esteem and self-love. Beauty will fade.... But you're heart and character is what will stand the test of time. ❤️

The sum of my life is more than what I wear, it is who I am as a woman. I am more than my tangible possessions. I am more than a pretty face or nice body. I am more than what’s in my bank account. I am more than what I drive. I am more than where I live. I am woman who has substance. I am brilliant and kind-hearted. And much more.... But who has also, like you, been hurt... broken hearted... experienced failures.... and much more.
But I am a fighter!
I encourage you to be brave enough to share your story! It can save someone’s life! 🙌🏾❤️

One of my biggest lessons this year has been... if it doesn’t flow, then it’s a No. When things flow, it’s just better. There’s a balance and ebb and flow.
It’s often more healthy, progressive, and lasting. Whether it is Relationships, opportunities, business ventures, friendships and much more. If you find yourself straining, forcing, coercing, or manipulating something/someone then it’s a NO! Go where things flow and where you have peace about whatever you’re doing or involved with.
