Volume II

• Notice.

I’ve been paying attention to something lately.

The things that frustrate us the most often have something to teach us.

Not always about the other person…

Sometimes about ourselves.

I’ve realized that life has a way of revealing what’s still healing inside of us.

The situations change.

The people change.

But the lesson keeps showing up until we finally notice it.

Maybe today isn’t asking you to fix everything.

Maybe it’s simply asking you to pay attention.

Because awareness is often where healing quietly begins.

❤️ What has life been trying to show you lately?

If we were sitting across from each other today…

I’d ask you one question.

How are you… really?

Not the answer you’ve been giving everyone else.

The honest one.

I’ve learned that healing isn’t pretending to be okay.

It’s creating enough safety to tell yourself the truth.

Some days you’ll feel strong.

Some days you’ll start over.

Neither day defines you.

Both are helping you become who you’re meant to be.

Give yourself the same grace you so freely give everyone else.

❤️ I’m cheering for you.

The older I get, the more I realize…

Peace isn’t found in having the last word.

It’s found in knowing I honored my character.

I’ve walked away wishing I’d said more.

I’ve also walked away wishing I’d said less.

Now I ask myself,

“Will these words move us forward, or am I just trying to prove a point?”

That question has saved me from saying things I’d later regret.

Sometimes protecting your peace sounds like silence.

Not because you’ve given up…

Because you’ve grown.

One thing I’ve learned…

Emotions are terrible leaders, but incredible teachers.

Instead of asking,

“How do I stop feeling this?”

I’ve started asking,

“What is this feeling trying to teach me?”

Sometimes anger reveals a boundary.

Sometimes anxiety reminds me to prepare instead of panic.

Sometimes sadness reminds me that something mattered deeply.

Feel the emotion.

Learn the lesson.

Choose your response.

Growth begins there.

❤️ Which emotion has taught you the most?

Can I ask you something?

When someone asks how you’re doing…

Do you answer honestly?

Or do you automatically say,

“I’m fine.”

I’ve learned that “fine” became my hiding place.

Healing didn’t begin when everything got better.

It began when I became honest enough to admit what I was carrying.

Your emotions aren’t weaknesses.

They’re invitations to slow down, pay attention, and care for yourself.

So today, ask yourself one question:

“What am I really feeling?”

That answer might be where your healing begins.

❤️ Be honest—with yourself first.

I’ve been learning something about myself.

Not every emotion deserves an immediate response.

For years, I thought I needed to explain myself the moment I was hurt. Now, I’ve learned to pause.

Not because I don’t have something to say…

But because my first reaction isn’t always my wisest response.

I’ve realized that anger often introduces me to hurt. Frustration uncovers disappointment. Irritation is sometimes just exhaustion.

Before I respond now, I ask myself,

“What am I really feeling?”

That one question has changed more relationships than having the perfect comeback ever could.

Maybe the greatest growth isn’t changing someone else’s behavior.

Maybe it’s learning to respond differently.

❤️ What’s one emotion you’ve misunderstood about yourself lately?
