There is a lot going on in our world at the moment, and many are waiting anxiously for 2020 to be over. Let’s remember there are many folks out there who need some compassion & a hand—not necessarily money, maybe just someone to listen, to hold a door open, hold a place in line, or just a thank you.

This isn’t Human Resources related in the purest sense, but I try to be observant & watch when people may be hurting & how it can affect them on the job.

If you’re a manager or boss, be the best manager or boss you can be. If you’re an employee, be the best employee you can be.

We are all in this together, as cliched as that sounds. But it’s true. Sometimes a little care & concern can make all the difference in the world.

Remember, things come to pass, not to stay. We will get through it.

I had the privilege of hearing Dr. Suttle speak a couple of years ago. As a successful & eloquent African American businessman, he captivates his audiences. Normally I would not accentuate his racial identity...but I intend to post more of his wisdom over the coming days, and I feel it’s germane to the times we are in.
