Last week we held our largest expungement clinic to date, with over 300 clients sitting down with attorneys to learn more about their expungement eligibility and file initial paperwork. Thank you so much to the New Jersey Public Defender Jennifer Sellitti, Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin and Assemblywoman Shanique Speight for making it happen. Once again, we were reminded of just how critical expungements are in opening the door for better employment and housing opportunities.

If you or someone you know is in need of expungement, we will be hosting clinics in Plainfield on May 27 and in Toms River on June 9. More details to come.

James led a great conversation this afternoon with Public Defender Jenn Sellitti, Clean Slate's Sarah Fajardo, Reverend Dante Quick, Reverend Maureen Gerald, Pastor Daryl Griffin and barbershop owner Omar Simmons on the importance of expanding access to expungement.
