DAY 28 OF BECOMING HER CHALLENGE.
Yesterday we talked about receiving correction. Today: How to GIVE it God's way.
The Bible says HOW we correct matters as much as WHY we correct.
1. GROUND IT IN LOVE, NOT ANGER.
Don't correct when you are angry. Correct when you care.
📖 *Ephesians 4:15* — "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ."
_Truth without love hurts. Love without truth doesn't help. We need both._
2. BE GENTLE WITH YOUR WORDS.
The same correction can build or break, depending on tone.
📖 *Proverbs 15:1* — "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
📖 *Colossians 4:6* — "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt..."
_Grace makes correction easy to swallow._
3. LISTEN TO UNDERSTAND, NOT JUST TO REPLY.
Youth open up when they feel heard.
📖 *James 1:19* — "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."
_Listen first. They will listen to you next._
The goal is not to prove you are right. The goal is to help them grow right.
✅ Correct the action, not the person
✅ Give direction, not just disappointment
✅ End with encouragement: "I correct you because I believe in your future."
