When you're networking, it's easy to focus on explaining what your business does. But the strongest connections happen when people understand the person and purpose behind the business.

Instead of only saying what you sell or what service you provide, try sharing:

⭐ WHY you started your business
🎯 WHO you love helping
💡 WHAT PROBLEM you solve for your customers
🤝 HOW other members can recognize a great referral for you

The better we understand each other's businesses, the easier it becomes to confidently say:

"I know exactly who you need to talk to!"

Networking isn’t just about collecting business cards or giving your elevator pitch — it’s about building real relationships.

Here are a few simple tips to get more out of every networking opportunity:

✅ Ask more than you tell. Learn about the other person’s business and who their ideal customer is.

✅ Be specific. Instead of saying, “I’m looking for anyone who needs my services,” describe exactly who makes a great referral for you.

✅ Listen for opportunities. You may not need someone’s services today, but someone you know might!

✅ Follow up. A quick message after a meeting can turn an introduction into a valuable business relationship.

✅ Give before you get. Great networking starts with asking, “How can I help you?”
