Land clearing~Forestry Mulching~Site Prepâś…

This was a fun project!

We started by clearing and grading an acre of clearcut stumps and logging debris. From there, we built up a 35’ × 105’ pad for a future metal building.

We also cleared, stumped, and raked a shooting range so the area can be easily maintained going forward. To finish things up, we used the forestry mulcher to clean up an overgrown wood line and some brush in front of the cabin.

The end result was a much cleaner, more usable property for the landowners to enjoy!

Having the right equipment for the job is crucial to completing projects efficiently—and delivering the quality finish our customers expect.

Today, we put our new grapple root rake from The Rake Shop to the test, and it did not disappoint!

We’ve tried several different styles of rakes, but this one is an absolute GAME-CHANGER. Top-notch build quality, functionality, and customer service from start to finish.

We recently had a customer reach out after their double wide was damaged in a fire. With their family having to stay in a hotel, they needed the trailer demolished and hauled off quickly so they could start making room for a new home.

We were able to get it knocked out the following week and got this family one step closer to getting back on their property.

We recently completed one of the longest gravel driveways in south ga!

This one stretched 3/4 of a mile long and took 20+ loads of #4 base and crusher run to build it right and finish it off strong.

Along with the driveway, we added a nice turnaround area near the house, built a shop approach, and cleared an area for a future food plot.

Here’s a sneak peak of a new gravel driveway we’re finishing up. This one was eroded so bad it was almost inaccessible unless in a 4x4. 3/4 of a mile long and over 400 tons of gravel brought in.

Forestry Mulching vs. Land Clearing — What’s the difference?

Every property is different, and the best clearing method depends on what you’re trying to accomplish.

At M4 Outdoor Services, we help you choose the right process for your land, your goals, and your budget.

Forestry mulching is a great option for cleaning up overgrowth, underbrush, trails, fence lines, pond dams, and areas you want opened up quickly. We leave behind a clean, finely mulched finish with all stumps level with the ground. Much faster & cheaper than full on land clearing.

Conventional land clearing is usually the better choice when you’re planning on new construction. All stumps and roots need to be removed before concrete or foundations are built. This usually involves grubbing of all trees, stumps, and roots to be piled up and burned or hauled off.
