After eight wonderful years with Springpoint Choice in Delaware, our care navigator Elaine Carbaugh will be retiring on June 25, 2026. Those who have worked with Elaine know what a compassionate and steady presence she has had, assisting our members through life's transitions and always making sure they felt heard and supported. Thank you Elaine for your dedicated service, we wish you a retirement filled with joy and well-deserved rest.

We are also delighted to introduce Theresa Vial, LCSW, who will be stepping into the part-time care navigator role following Elaine's retirement.

Theresa Vial, LCSW, has a strong foundation in trauma‑informed care, brain science, and coordinated support across systems. With eight years of experience helping individuals and families navigate medical, emotional, cognitive, and relational challenges, she ensures each person is met with compassion, clarity, and support. She believes in whole-person care that honors everyone’s story, strengths, and goals. Theresa is passionate about connecting community members with resources and care options that enhance well-being and quality of life.

Springpoint Choice is honored to highlight our member of over 6 years, Dr. Richard Holstein.

Richard is not only a Pediatric Dentist that has taught future dentists and has volunteered with Operation Smile, but his longstanding passion and commitment to philanthropy reflects a deep belief in the power of education and ethical leadership to create lasting change. Throughout his career, he has focused his charitable work on initiatives that strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and foster personal development.

Nowhere is this dedication more evident than in his relationship with his alma mater, Washington College (’68). In 2014, Richard made a $100,000 gift, as well as a $5 million legacy gift, to Washington College to help establish the Holstein Ethics Program. This program “supports curricular renewal and enhancement to weave the consideration of ethics throughout the curriculum, serves as a resource for faculty, students and administrators, fosters interdisciplinary research on a broad range of ethical issues and brings speakers and leaders of national prominence to the campus to talk about current issues of importance and to do so in a personal and intimate setting that involves our students.”

Richard’s generous support has provided students with invaluable resources to explore moral philosophy, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and tackle complex ethical questions with confidence and clarity. The Holstein Program has become a cornerstone of the college’s commitment to educating principled leaders, offering internships, scholarships, and experiential learning opportunities that broaden students’ perspectives. Through his contributions, Richard has profoundly shaped the academic landscape at Washington College, leaving a legacy that will inspire ethical thinking and responsible leadership for decades to come.

Big news at Springpoint Choice as we celebrate both a remarkable legacy and an exciting future!

After 27 incredible years, Craig Kinsey, our Director of Sales and Marketing, will be retiring on April 17. Craig has played an instrumental role in the growth of our program since its inception. Through his leadership, dedication, and deep knowledge, Craig has helped thousands of families understand the value of our program and guided many to become members. From coordinating countless presentations and events to building meaningful relationships, his impact has been profound and lasting. As Craig prepares to retire, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and wish him all the very best in this well-earned and exciting new chapter. He will be greatly missed.

As we honor Craig’s legacy, we are proud to announce that Amy Nicklas will step into the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. With 25 years of experience as Program Director overseeing New Jersey, Amy has been a driving force behind the program’s success and expansion. Her commitment, leadership, and unwavering dedication have helped shape the strong foundation we continue to build upon today. We are incredibly grateful to have Amy on our team and are thrilled to celebrate her well-deserved promotion.

We’re also excited to welcome Shelley McDonald as Senior Sales Counselor. With over 20 years of experience in senior living and relationship-focused sales, Shelley brings a thoughtful, consultative approach and a strong ability to connect with clients and families.
