A year ago today, I died.

Someone needed to hear this, idk who. But whoever that is, this is for you. Don’t give up.

After media buying for many years now, I've learned that ROAS is a rollercoaster for almost every account.

There's so much volatility between days that has you mentally pulling your hair out.

It's always best to look at metrics on larger time windows for this reason.

For instance, I only kill ads by looking at a 7-14 day lookback (Depending on how much you're spending a day)

Looking at ROAS on a day-to-day basis will not only drive you crazy but can also mislead you.

Focus on WoW and MoM growth metrics instead of trying to figure out why yesterday's metrics we're dog poo.

We're moving into a unprecedented time like never before and it's now it's blatantly obvious...

Something has to change.

So many launch companies trying to become another player in another category by launching multiple products.

I've realized that most often you'll spread yourself thin launching into markets where you don't have a clear right to win.

My thoughts:

One service.
One solution.
One market.

Focus and try to aim to be in your own unique category.

Easier said than done, but just what I've noticed.

Tip for SaaS founders that I ran into over the past week.

Don’t mention a solidified price in your content marketing (blog posts, YouTube videos, socials, etc)

…because once you raise your price...
..you're going to be spending a lot of time updating stuff lol

The #1 marketing skill most neglect that I talk too.

It’s not Facebook ads.

It’s not Google ads.

It's not Copywriting .

It’s not even technical skills.

It’s knowing your ICP or audience to the full extent.

I'm not the only one, right?

I have a hiring secret to tell.

I was always told not to hire 'Entrepreneur Minded' people.

As they're not there for the long term.

But I got a secret.

From my experience, hiring a 'retired' entrepreneur who attempted that route ..
But found out and ended up hating it..

Ended up being 10x better employees than the rest (in most cases, not all the time)

They came in with new ideas and tactics to initiate on.

Thought by themselves, etc.

But not only that..

let's be honest -

Majority of people don't stay with companies for a vast majority of time anyways.

So I'd rather take an A+ player, reap the benefits while I have them -

And innovate on the creativeness they bring.

Take it for what it's worth.

Just my experience!

This is killing your opportunity ratio.

Most businesses do a terrible job at nurturing leads

I was one of them.

Don't expect to book calls after one, two, or three awful sales follow ups.

Give them content. Educate them. Stay relevant.

- Offer lead nurturing as an additional service to clients

- Make sure you’re nurturing your own leads

Businesses that nurture leads make 50% more sales (according to Hubspot)

Food for thought.

If you want to get more clients

You need to understand this:

It is not just about Facebook, Google or LinkedIn…

I've tried NUMEROUS marketing tactics!

Funnels, chatbots, email sequences, Facebook ads, Google ads, Ads and LinkedIn Ads, Outbound VAs, Email, etc.

These are just different delivery systems for your marketing message.

The main thing is HOW you structure your campaign. WHO you're structuring it for.
Marketing done right makes hard-selling unnecessary.

Most people do the opposite - they don’t do marketing, they are trying hard to sell you something you don’t need.

Identify your accounts.

Create a no-brainer win/win offer.

Those who have a need for what you offer will be interested.

Push volume.

Volume negates luck.
