Two things athletes and families often get wrong:

Personalization - consistency is important, but making sure those coaches feel like you have legitimate interest in their school is another level. If your emails are always "I'm playing this weekend" they won't know WHY you're interested.

Personality - many athletes and families think that volleyball skill / talent alone will get them recruited. Talent and ability gets you on the phone, but it's your personality that gets you on campus. Just like you care about WHO is coaching you, they care about WHO they are coaching. You need to fit and/or add to the personality and culture of the program.

The high school season can be one of the hardest times to stay consistent with what you're doing when it comes to getting recruited.

My question has been this: What are you willing to do?
It's difficult, challenging and often feels like you're going no where.

Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed though. Putting yourself in the best position possible this fall and once the college season ends should be your goal right now.
