Average flow is a myth.

The needs of trauma, surgical, and critically ill patients can change quickly. Warming technology should be ready to move from routine infusion to rapid transfusion with them.

QinFlow blood and IV fluid warming systems are designed to support a wide range of infusion methods and flow demands, giving clinicians one warming platform across changing patient needs.

How much does flow variability factor into your choice of warming technology? Share what matters most in your clinical environment.

Built for the patient. Designed for the provider.

The best medical technologies improve patient care by making life easier for the clinicians delivering it. Better workflows, fewer distractions, and greater consistency benefit everyone involved.

That philosophy is built into QinFlow’s blood and IV fluid warming systems, which are designed to reduce equipment burden, simplify workflows, and support consistent warming throughout the continuum of care.

How much does workflow simplicity influence your equipment decisions? Tell us what matters most to your team in the comments.

Every regional blood program starts by asking the right questions.

1️⃣ What access already exists?
2️⃣ Who needs to be involved?
3️⃣ What operational, financial, or regulatory barriers could stand in the way?

Answering these three questions can help teams move from early interest to a realistic regional plan. Luckily, the Prehospital Blood Transfusion Coalition is here to help.

The PHBTC offers maps, clinical guidance, state data, advocacy tools, and connections to help support that process. Read the blog to see how the PHBTC can help your region take the first steps toward building a prehospital blood program - https://bit.ly/4pqL6mQ

Prehospital blood access is strongest when the entire region works together.

Ground and air EMS, hospitals, blood suppliers, medical directors, and local leaders each play a role in making blood available where it is needed and keeping resuscitation moving through every handoff.

The result is a more connected system – and a patient who arrives at the hospital with critical care already underway.

Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department has launched the first ground-based prehospital blood transfusion program in Kansas and the Greater Kansas City metro, giving crews the ability to carry and administer whole blood before patients reach the hospital.

Congratulations to KCKFD and the partners who made this lifesaving advancement possible. We’re proud to see another region expanding access to earlier resuscitation and redefining what is possible before hospital arrival.

Ready to explore prehospital blood access in your own community? Connect with the Blood Transfusion Coalition for resources, guidance, and next steps.

Cost remains one of the greatest barriers to implementing and sustaining prehospital blood programs. From equipment and consumables to blood products and reimbursement, every part of the program must be financially sustainable.

Join the PWW Advisory Group and the Prehospital Blood Transfusion Coalition on Thursday, July 30, at 1 p.m. CST for The Price of Saving Lives: The Economics of Prehospital Blood Administration Programs.

The webinar will feature our friends Jon Krohmer and Randi Schaefer of the Prehospital Blood Transfusion Coalition. Together, they'll explore the financial and operational realities facing EMS agencies, including what the new TRICARE Prehospital Blood Transfusion Demonstration could mean for reimbursement and future access.
