I am currently working on a village of gingerbread houses. What I thought would be a fast project is not in fact going to be fast. Oh well, but they are cute.

So I’ve been out of the studio the last few months because I’ve been fighting an ongoing infection and have been in and out of the hospital. But it seems I have finally kicked the infection to the curb. I was back in the studio today and was busy.

Out of the cast. Stitches are out Have to wear a brace. Will be a few weeks before I’m back in the studio.

Before and after x-ray comparison. My surgeon shaved down the bones jutting up in the right x-ray and put a screw in to fuse it.

My surgery went well. In a soft cast. One screw. 4–6 and weeks healing

Well I’m glad I finished my house. My surgery has been rescheduled for this coming Tuesday.

I am done…well at least the building stage is done. Next up bisque firing. Then glazing, my least favorite part about pottery.

I will be in the studio tomorrow. My surgery had to be rescheduled, hopefully for next week. And hopefully I’ll be able to finish my fairy house.
