I understand that in the north country, heating solutions such as wood stoves and pellet stones are a must, I myself grew up with a wood stove running in the winter.

Unfortunately, we need to be very conscious of where our electronics are in relation to the stove. Tar and other materials from smoke and cigarette smoke will greatly shorten the life span of any electronic it is near. I have one example down below that a client brought to me recently! Their fans were gunked up bad due to a pellet stove!
