💻🔧 What I do on my Sunday mornings! ♻️

While most people are relaxing, I’m busy giving old technology a second chance! This morning’s projects include a few older laptops and an iMac that are getting some much-needed TLC. 🍎💻

I often rescue computers from the landfill, wipe their hard drives, install fresh software, and replace batteries or chargers when needed. If they still have life left in them, why let them go to waste?

Once they’re ready to go, I either give them away to someone who needs one or sell them for what I have invested. It’s a little hobby of mine that helps keep usable technology out of the landfill and puts it back into someone’s hands. 🌎❤️

Have an old laptop, tablet or computer collecting dust? Before you toss it, reach out! Let me see if I can bring it back to life and find it a new home.

One person’s old computer can be another person’s opportunity! 🙌

🎉 HE DID IT! 🎉

Cole has officially finished his treatment! ❤️

And apparently, he didn't waste any time getting his work clothes on and getting ready to get back at it! 🔨☀️

It’s been a long few months, and we can’t thank our customers, friends, and family enough for all the love and support you’ve shown us.

Now we’re looking forward to getting back to doing what we love!

Help us celebrate this HUGE milestone!🎉

And yes... I (Cam) forced him to smile for the photo!

A Little Different This Summer ❤️

Hey everyone! We wanted to give you a little update from 2 Dudes Handyman & Lake City Solar

If things have seemed a little quieter or looked a little different around here lately, there’s a good reason. Cole is currently undergoing an intensive treatment that should be completed by early October.

We’re doing just fine, and we’re taking this time to focus on what matters most. We’re looking forward to getting through this chapter and coming back better than ever, stronger than ever, and ready to get back to work!

For those who know us, you know summer is ALWAYS our crazy season. Usually we’re completely slammed from morning until night, bouncing from project to project and wondering where the days went.

But this summer has been a change of pace for us. We’ve actually had a little more time to slow down, enjoy the summer, spend some time together, and appreciate the things we’re usually too busy to notice.

That being said… October will be here before we know it!

So start making that winter project list! Electrical work? A heat pump? Solar? That project you’ve been putting off for three years? Get those winter work requests ready! We want to come back to a calendar that keeps us BUSY all winter long.

And seriously, we’re fine. But if you’d like to show Cole a little love while he’s going through treatment, I’ll be dropping my Venmo below. If you feel like buying the guy a coffee, it would mean a lot to us.

Thank you all for your patience, support, understanding, and continued business. We’re incredibly grateful for every one of you.

See you in October! ❤️

☀️ Another Solar Project Complete in Plattsburgh! ☀️

We're excited to share one of our latest renewable energy projects right here in Plattsburgh, NY!

This installation features:
✅ 12 Hyperion 450-Watt Solar Panels from the amazing Portable Sun

✅ MT Solar Top-of-Pole Mount System- The BEST in the industry!

✅ EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra Backup Power System- Wah- what a unit!

The 5.4 kW solar array charges an EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra system installed in the basement, providing reliable backup power and energy independence. With battery storage and solar working together, this homeowner can keep critical loads running even during grid outages while reducing their reliance on utility power.

Projects like this are a perfect example of where our business is headed. While many of you know us for remodeling, repairs, and handyman services, we've been steadily expanding our renewable energy division with solar, battery backup systems, EV charging, and heat pump installations.

Over the coming months, you'll start seeing more of the name Lake City Solar as we grow that side of the business. Don't worry- 2 Dudes Handyman LLC isn't going anywhere. Lake City Solar will simply be the name that represents our solar and clean energy division while remaining part of the same locally owned company you've trusted for years.

Thank you to all of our customers who continue to support us as we expand into the future of energy!

BIG project wrapped up in Peru today-and we’ve got something even bigger to share… ⚡️🌎

This install was the full package:
☀️ 30 Hyperion Bifacial Solar Panels
⚡ Enphase Microinverters (from our friends at Portable Sun)
🛠 Dual Top-of-Pole mounts (from our friends at MT Solar)
🔌 Leviton Smart Panel upgrade
🚙 EV charger for their Rivian
🔥 Senville Hyper-Heat Pump

This home is now producing its own power, heating efficiently, and built for the future.

And that’s exactly why we’re making this official…

We’re proud to announce the launch of Lake City Solar LLC ☀️

Same crew. Same quality.
Just a bigger focus on helping our community take control of their energy. (Stay tuned for more info)

If you’ve been thinking about Solar, Heat pumps, or energy upgrades-now’s the time.

Let’s build something awesome. 👊

Earth Day hits different when you actually build the solution 🌎☀️

We’re out installing a ground mount solar system today by MT Solar- not just talking about change, but making it happen!

Clean energy. Real impact.

If you’re ready to do more than just celebrate Earth Day once a year, we should talk.

…also, keep an eye out 👀 something new is on the horizon for our solar work.
