If you see an HVAC company advertising a super low initial service call or “too good to be true” price, be careful. Those offers are often designed just to get a technician in your door. Once inside, some companies particularly the large private equity owned companies will push unnecessary repairs, upsell expensive parts, inflate the final bill or try to schedule a salesperson to come out and quote new systems (sometimes unnecessarily) —especially if they think you’re not familiar with HVAC systems.

Not every company operates this way, but it happens more often than it should.

Before you book:
✔️ Ask what’s included in the service call
✔️ Get clear pricing upfront
✔️ Don’t feel pressured into same-day big repairs or replacements without a second opinion
