Curt brings an extraordinary depth of legislative experience that few can match. He retired from the Utah State Senate at the end of 2024 after 24 years of service, with a tenure that included roles as
~Senate Majority Leader
~President Pro Tempore
~Vice Chair of the Executive Appropriations Committee
~Chair of the Revenue and Tax Committee ~Chair of the Business Labor Committee
Over his career, he helped author an estimated 80% of Utah's current tax code and became one of the Legislature's leading voices on appropriations, professional licensing, finance, and business regulation.
His influence extended well beyond Utah. Curt served as President of the National Conference of State Legislatures in 2015β16 β the largest national association of state legislators β where he built consensus on policy priorities across the country and developed relationships with lawmakers in every state.
Beyond his legislative record, Curt is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 40 years of experience in representing clients on tax and economic consulting. He has testified in court and before the U.S. Congress and multiple state legislatures as an expert witness, bringing the kind of credibility that opens doors and moves conversations forward.
