Today is Jackie Robinson Day. Major League Baseball commemorates and honors this day annually on April 15, the day Jackie Robinson made his major league debut and broke the color barrier. Today every player on every team will wear #42. Here is a portrait I did of Jackie Robinson (he's one of my heroes) - I'm wearing a #42 hat in his honor.

76 years ago today (Jan 30), Gandhi died. I painted this portrait of him because his life has touched millions (including mine). Martin Luther King, Jr. often said, “Christ gave us the goals, and Mahatma Gandhi provided the tactics.” I wrote a "Peace, Love, & Unity Pledge" that I hope to have 1,000 people sign at www.Totalityism.com. I had the privilege of participating in the "MLK Day Rally and March" in Salt Lake City yesterday. MLK's last book is titled, "WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?" My answer to that is that I want to help lead out in abandoning attitudes and actions of prejudice, so I wrote the "Peace, Love, & Unity Pledge" that I'm working to get 1,000 people to sign.
