Many ambulatory organizations are reassessing whether their core EHR and PM platforms can serve as a true foundation or whether third-party solutions are still required to meet their everyday needs.

KLAS looks at how these organizations are approaching this question in our recently published Comprehensive Ambulatory Care EHR & PM Suites report. We dig into functionality adoption, third-party use, and reported outcomes, all to get a clear view into when comprehensive suites deliver value and where gaps remain.

Each year, the Best in KLAS report highlights top-performing healthcare IT vendors based on customer feedback. But, we believe it is just as important to recognize those who are putting in the work to improve.

Our 2026 Most Improved winners show that meaningful change is possible when vendors listen closely to their customers and act with intention.

This year’s Most Improved solutions are:

• TeleVox HouseCalls Pro

• Greenway Health Greenway Revenue Services

• PwC ERP Business Transformation & Implementation Leadership Services

These organizations didn’t improve by accident. Customers report stronger partnership, proactive communication, executive engagement, and tangible follow-through on long-standing challenges.

Interoperability still isn’t working the way clinicians need it to.

Despite years of investment, providers continue to tell us that shared patient records/notes are hard to find, hard to trust, or not usable in their EHR workflows. The data may be moving, but the experience hasn’t improved.

At KLAS, we’re trying a different approach.

We’re bringing EHR vendors together, under a neutral convener, to align on how existing standards are implemented—starting with shared patient notes. The goal isn’t new standards or theory. It’s fewer workarounds, clearer context, and data clinicians can actually use.

This effort is grounded in provider and clinician feedback, and success depends on vendor follow-through and customer adoption.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the KLAS Middle East Summit 2026 in Dubai!

The conversations throughout the summit reflected the real work happening across the region. Leaders spoke about AI in imaging and ambient technologies, revenue cycle pressures, clinician experience, and national healthcare priorities. The focus stayed on what organizations are facing today and what it will take to continue improving care.

We’re grateful to the providers, vendors, policymakers, and advisory board members who contributed their time and perspective. The willingness to share and engage is what makes these gatherings meaningful.

What does measurable ROI from ambient AI actually look like in practice?

In our newly published report, Suki ROI Validations 2026, KLAS examines outcomes from FMOL Health, McLeod Health, and Rush University System for Health after deploying Suki in ambulatory care settings.

In this video, Research Director Mac Boyter walks through the key findings and what these organizations learned along the way.

Thank you to Suki and the participating health systems for openly sharing their experience and outcomes.

That’s the focus of the Shared Patient Records Usability Summit 2026, where EHR vendors and provider leaders will come together to tackle the real-world challenges of shared patient records and data exchange.

This summit brings together organizations willing to collaborate across competitive lines, align on practical improvements, and help shape what better interoperability looks like in practice.
