A Concealed Carry License holder in Chicago put his training to use when an armed man approached and pulled a fi***rm on him while he was pumping gas.

The CCL holder immediately took control of the situation and protected his life. Carrying for your own safety is paramount.

Instances like this are why we need Congress to pass national reciprocity and allow law-abiding citizens to defend themselves no matter what state or city they are in!

ATF is proposing to clarify when a state-issued fi***rms permit qualifies as an alternative to a NICS background check under the Brady Act. The update requires confirmation that the permit is valid and unexpired, and that the state statute meets congressional requirements. This provides clearer guidance for FFLs in states that recognize such permits. Read the proposal and comment at https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/05/06/2026-08918/clarifying-exceptions-to-the-brady-act-background-check-requirement.
