🇺🇸 Honoring Those Who Served, From the Heart of a Grateful Immigrant

Today, I pause to say thank you to every veteran and service member who has protected this country we call home. Including my father-in-law and his brothers.

As someone who immigrated to the U.S. as a refugee from former USSR (Ukraine), I know what it means to seek freedom and safety, and to find opportunity through hard work and community. The life I’ve built, and the company I’ve founded, exist because of the freedoms so many have fought to defend.

20 Years in Healthcare and Non-Profit Recruiting: A Journey of Passion and Purpose!

March 14, 2025—20 years ago, I started as a healthcare recruiter at RH in Oakland, CA. Fresh out of college, I thought this job would be temporary—just a stepping stone until I landed my real dream job as a sales rep for a pharmaceutical company. But two months in, that offer came, and I hesitated. My team was short-staffed, and I couldn’t leave my manager without support. So I stayed a little longer.

And then a little longer. Until I realized—I had already found my dream job.

I’ll always be grateful to Kathleen and Susan, who took a chance on someone with no experience, just drive and determination. Their belief in me set the foundation for everything that followed.

Over the years, I’ve built a career I love while celebrating life’s biggest milestones—marriage, motherhood, and even our furry baby girl. I earned top performer awards for 13 of my 17 years both as a leader and individual performer, including 10 consecutive while navigating life as a new mom. More than the accolades, I showed up every day to help others find their right opportunity.

In 2022, after achieving the #1 spot globally in the president’s division, I took a leap of faith, leaving behind stability to follow my deeper purpose—transforming lives and partnering with mission-driven organizations.

That leap led me to found MatchBukh Talent Solutions in 2023. Even now, every time I see my company name, I have to remind myself—it’s real. It’s finally come true.

Today, I get to work with companies I believe in, not only helping them find top talent but also giving back—through my time, support, and donations.

Reflecting on 2024: A Journey of Growth, Resilience, and Staying True to Myself.

This year has been transformative for me, both professionally and personally, and I wanted to share my story as my authentic self.

In 2022, I made the bold decision to leave an 18-year career where I was consistently in the top 5%. Everyone asked, “Why?” The truth was simple: I felt called to step into something new, even though it meant walking away from security and success.

2023 became a year of reflection after nearly three decades of nonstop work (starting at the age of 10 in my family’s business). I pressed pause on my professional life for the first time to focus on my family and my own well-being. During that time, the seeds for MatchBukh Talent Solutions were planted—built from scratch and fueled by my vision to create something meaningful and impactful to support healthcare and nonprofit sectors.

And yes, I did something else bold: I went back to my natural brunette hair after decades as a blonde. This small change challenged traditional norms of “what success looks like” in business. It symbolized authenticity, self-acceptance, and the courage to define success on my own terms. Plus my daughters being happy to see moms hair color finally match theirs. 🫶🏼

2024 was not without challenges. Some doubted me. Others said starting a woman-owned business in such a competitive industry was a risk. But I persevered—grounded in my values, my work ethic, my authenticity, my belief in the “Larisa way,” and my commitment to improving lives through impactful placements.

By the end of this year, I’m proud to share that MatchBukh Talent Solutions has successfully secured multiple contracts, placed incredible candidates in permanent roles, and helped organizations and professionals thrive together. Seeing lives change for the better through my work reaffirms why I do what I do.

To my incredible support system—my husband, kids, parents, family, friends, mentors, clients, and candidates—you’ve been my rock. To everyone who has referred me, believed in me, and thought, “You need to call Larisa,” thank you. Your encouragement means the world.
