In September, we celebrated National Payroll Week by recognizing the incredible payroll team members across Sciens Building Solutions! These dedicated professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our teams are supported and payroll runs smoothly across all our Divisions. Their attention to detail, hard work, and commitment to excellence make a meaningful difference every day, and we’re grateful for all they do!

To show our appreciation, we partnered with Adam Berkey at MRL to surprise our payroll team members with special goodie bags. We also used Workday’s feedback feature to share well-deserved kudos and messages of appreciation from their colleagues. A big thank you to Adam for helping us make this celebration possible, and to all our payroll professionals for their outstanding contributions to the Sciens family!

We’re excited to officially welcome The Wilkins Company and Scherer Lock & Supply to the Sciens Building Solutions family! Based in Erie and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, these two companies will join us as the Sciens Wilkins Division, bringing nearly 70 talented new colleagues to our growing team. With more than 40 years of industry experience, Wilkins brings extensive expertise in fire alarm, integrated security, A/V, communications, and door hardware solutions. This partnership marks another exciting milestone in our Northeast expansion, strengthening our presence in Pennsylvania and creating new opportunities to deliver comprehensive fire and life safety solutions to customers throughout the region.

Last week, we had the pleasure of officially welcoming the Wilkins and Scherer teams during a special all-hands meeting, celebrating this exciting new chapter and the opportunities ahead. It was a wonderful occasion to introduce our newest colleagues to the Sciens family, share our vision for the future, and highlight the people and partnerships that continue to drive our success. Please join us in welcoming Marcela Ebling to Sciens Building Solutions as our new District Controller, leading Finance for our WSA and Bass United Divisions! Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, Marcela brings more than 15 years of Finance and Accounting experience, including leadership in enterprise accounting operations, multi-entity financial reporting, and controllership within high-growth organizations. In her new role, she will partner closely with our Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to support continued growth and profitability across both divisions.

Outside of work, Marcela loves spending time with her family and creating new memories together. Whether they’re traveling to new destinations, skiing, or snorkeling; exploring together is one of their favorite ways to spend time. Originally from DeLand, Florida, Jared enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and his dog. When he’s not at work, you can often find him out on the water fishing from his boat or planning their next cruise adventure. Welcome to the Sciens family, Jared! We’re glad to have you on the team.

We’re excited to kick off Year Two of the Sciens Building Solutions Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program! This year’s participants recently came together for their kickoff meeting, marking the beginning of a year focused on learning, collaboration, and leadership growth.

The LEAD Program is a year-long development initiative designed for high-potential future General Managers and Controllers across Sciens. Through hands-on learning and shared experiences, participants will strengthen their leadership skills, build strategic capabilities, and develop the forward-thinking mindset needed to lead our teams and business into the future. We’re proud to invest in the next generation of Sciens leaders and look forward to following this group’s journey throughout the year!

Congratulations to our newest Sciens LEAD Program graduates! We recently celebrated an exciting milestone as participants completed the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program, a year-long development initiative designed to prepare high-potential future General Managers and Controllers for the next steps in their leadership journeys.

Throughout the program, participants strengthened their leadership skills, expanded their strategic capabilities, and developed a more forward-thinking approach to leading teams and businesses. More importantly, they invested a full year in learning, collaborating, challenging themselves, and preparing to make an even greater impact across Sciens.

Graduation may mark the completion of the program, but it is just the beginning of what comes next. We’re proud of everything this group has accomplished and excited to see how they put their experience into action as they continue to grow their careers and help shape the future of Sciens.

Please join us in welcoming Peter Earley to Sciens Building Solutions as our new National Director of Service Sales! Peter brings more than 26 years of experience in the fire and life safety industry. In his new role, he will lead Sciens’ national service sales strategy, drive recurring revenue growth, develop service sales talent, implement best practices across the organization, and support our continued commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Florida Atlantic University, along with NICET Fire Alarm, NICET Fire Sprinkler, and FASA/BASA certifications. Based in Fort Myers, FL, he lives with his wife of 25 years, Amanda, and is the proud father of two wonderful children. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, boating, cars, and spending quality time with his family. Welcome to the team, Peter!
