Overcoming Imposter Syndrome as a Leader ✨

Many new leaders and founders struggle with imposter syndrome — that quiet (or sometimes loud) voice that says: “I don’t belong here” or “I’m not ready for this role.”

In my recent conversation with David Azerad, founder of NextArc Performance Solutions, he shared that imposter syndrome often shows up when leaders are trying to perform leadership instead of leading from authenticity.

👉 His insight: Leadership frameworks and checklists can be useful, but they should be like clothing — tools that help you express yourself, not costumes that hide who you really are. True confidence comes when you pause, listen to your intuition, and show up as your authentic self.

This shift not only transforms how leaders operate but also how their teams thrive.

In my recent conversation with Rumsby, CEO of Edith, she offered a powerful reframe: a “no” isn’t the end — it can be the signal to create your own table. When you stop waiting for permission and start building your own space, you unlock opportunities for yourself and open the door for others. It’s not about replacing or competing with what already exists — it’s about adding value, complementing existing spaces, and fostering collaboration so that more voices can be heard.🎥 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/GsKAg4QYg5k🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/1ckgdM9oClLxaO8FiqDyuD?si=bANrxk2ARBesjUhs211crg💻 Learn more about Edith: https://myedith.comIf this perspective resonates with you, I’d love to connect with leaders and organizations who believe in inclusive, forward-thinking people strategies and culture-building. # entrepreneur

One of the defining characteristics of Generation Z is their comfort with technology. They are the first generation to have grown up with smartphones, social media, and the internet as an integral part of their lives. This means that they are adept at multitasking and can easily navigate various digital platforms.

Another important thing to note about Generation Z is their desire for authenticity and transparency. They value honesty, openness, and authenticity in their personal and professional lives. They also tend to be socially conscious and want to work for companies that share their values.

Employers should also be aware that Generation Z prefers a collaborative work environment. They are used to working in teams and value the input and feedback of their peers. As a result, they tend to be more comfortable with flat organizational structures and open communication channels.

Finally, employers should recognize that Generation Z is diverse and inclusive. They are the most diverse generation in history, and they value diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. This means that companies that embrace diversity and create an inclusive work environment are more likely to attract and retain Generation Z talent.

How should digital-savvy and purpose-driven Gen Zers be managed in our new world of work?
