Rosenthal JCC of Northern Westchester The Rosenthal JCC is committed to building a caring and vibrant Jewish community, and serving the broad and diverse general community in Northern Westchester.

The Rosenthal JCC is a warm and welcoming place where friends and family connect, individuals are inspired to grow and explore, Jews can celebrate or reconnect to their heritage and culture, and social and special needs are recognized and supported. A beneficiary agency of UJA-Federation of New York, the Rosenthal JCC is committed to building a caring and vibrant Jewish community, and serving the

broad and diverse general community in Northern Westchester. The JCC's offerings include Jewish learning and celebrations, pre-school and early childhood programs, summer camps, after-school day care, sport leagues, after-school classes, cultural programs, and social services such as early intervention, support groups and referrals. JCC programs and services are created and driven based on core Jewish values, a non-competitive philosophy as well as individual development and community interaction. The Rosenthal JCC is open for and welcomes all members of the community, regardless of race, religion or gender.

SunriseWalks is happening this coming weekend! On Sunday, June 5th, SunriseWalks participants,will raise funds for Sunrise Day Camp - Pearl River and it is taking place at the Rosenthal JCC in Pleasantville!. At Sunrise Day Camp, children with cancer and their siblings attend camp for free.

Engage's Knitting/Crochet-a-thon was a huge success!

Knitting needles and crochet hooks were flying last Sunday at Woodlands Community Temple when 42 enthusiastic volunteers participated in the 1st Annual Knit/Crochet-a-Thon to help heal Israel by creating peace one blanket at a time. Experienced knitters and crocheters gave lessons to beginners and fingers never stopped moving as they laughed, kibitzed, noshed and created.

This event was the result of an Engage grant given in response to proposed collaboration by:
Woodlands Community Temple, Dayle Fligel
Temple Shaaray Tefila, Karen Newman
Temple Beth Abraham, Joyce Licker
Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester, Jane Dubro

We congratulate these dedicated leaders on a most successful event and thank them on behalf of the recipients of the adorable baby blankets: Hadassah Hospital, Ein Kerem; Terror victims’ families; Jerusalem domestic violence shelter, Gush Katif evacuees.

Yom HaZikaron & Yom Haatzma’ut Community Event
Join the JCC of Mid-Westchester ,Westchester Jewish Teen Learning Initiative, The Westchester Jewish Council, BBYO, and other partners for a Westchester community-wide commemoration of Israel’s Memorial Day and celebration of Israel’s Independence Day. There will be activities and music for teens as well and adults and families with children of all ages.
