Just before 5:30 pm, Plumerville firefighters responded to a grass fire located at the 116 West Bound mile marker between Menifee and Plumerville. Units from Menifee and Conway County District 12 assisted in bringing the fire under control.

Traffic control by law enforcement shut down the slow lane to allow firefighters room to work.

Plumerville units were placed back into service around 6:15pm.

Burn ban back in effect.No outside burning of trash, brush, leaves, etc, until further notice.
