With open enrollment season in full swing, don’t let this important deadline get lost in the shuffle.
Employers offering prescription drug coverage must send their annual Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage Notice by October 15 to Medicare-eligible individuals covered under their plan, including employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents.
This notice lets individuals know whether their current prescription coverage is considered “creditable” and can help them make informed Medicare decisions and avoid potential late enrollment penalties.
