Story Winery was founded in 1973 as one of the first post-prohibition wineries in the Shenandoah Valley of California. We have been making premium old-vine zinfandel for nearly 40 years. 🏔️ I returned to Georgia for a very special trip of visiting the village that our ancestors came from. Where they lived and breathed and gazed upon these sacred mountains such as Tetnuldi and Ushba for countless centuries. This ancient and mythical mountain in the Caucasus (where Jason went in search of the Golden Fleece and Prometheus is bound for eternity) holds many mysteries in its walls and medieval towers. Here the mountains whisper ancient stories of love, adventure and loss. They are alive, and it is hard to escape the feeling that they watch you and have watched all those before you come and go, the same way you look in awe upon their constantly evolving and fog-hidden slopes. What an adventure!
