Meet Todd Taylor, our new w**emaker!🍷

We’re excited to welcome Todd to the Cooper Vineyards family as he steps into the role of w**emaker and carries our w**e program into its next chapter.

Todd brings more than 20 years of w**emaking experience, working alongside his wife, Gloria, and son, T.R., at Todd Taylor Wines in the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. His approach is rooted in a simple philosophy: “Wines are made in the vineyard.”

With a focus on minimal intervention, vineyard transparency, and single-vineyard w**es, Todd believes the best w**es showcase the unique character of the fruit, soil, and growing season.

We’re especially excited about Todd’s passion for Mediterranean varietals and his appreciation for the incredible Barbera and other estate-grown grapes that have made the Cooper Ranch so special.

Todd shared, “I am very excited and honored for the opportunity that the Cooper family has chosen me to help preserve the legacy of Dick Cooper.”

Happy International Grenache Day!🍇🍷

Our 2023 Grenache is a Cooper fan favorite, and for good reason. Its gorgeous garnet hue leads to aromas of strawberry and cherry layered with woodsy, dried-herb notes. On the palate, expect dark berry flavors, silky tannins, and a dry, smooth finish.

A toast to Mike!🍷

After more than 25 years of helping shape the Cooper Vineyards w**e program, we’re raising a glass to our w**emaker, Mike, as he begins his well-deserved retirement.

Mike has been involved in the Cooper w**e program since our very first vintage in 2000 and officially became our head w**emaker when we opened in 2004. Through countless harvests, bottles, and memories, his knowledge, dedication, and passion have played an incredible role in shaping the w**es we’re proud to share with you today.

He also shared his musical talents with us often performing at our events with his band, Wasted Space.🎶

Mike, thank you for more than two decades of hard work, friendship, and dedication to Cooper Vineyards. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve poured into our family, our vineyard, and our w**es.❤️

Please join us in wishing Mike all the best in this next chapter. We’ll certainly miss having him in the cellar, but we’re excited to see what the future holds.

And stay tuned… we’ll soon be introducing the newest member of our w**emaking team!
