Branch 32 donated materials for the Rocky Mountain Shootout hosted by Idaho State University's Welding Program. The Rocky Mountain Shootout allows the best welders from Idaho to compete for the title of "Best of the Best." One hundred and twenty students participated this year resulting in one of the biggest turnouts we have seen. Pacific Steel & Recycling was able to promote our company with door prizes and banners. Idaho State University honored Pacific Steel as the #1 sponsor this year, a huge accolade when it comes to all of the sponsors who participated this year. One of our customers had two teams that took home 1st and 2nd place in the team category, as well as taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the individual category. We were thanked time and time again for our donation, ISU even expressed without Pacific Steel, these competitions might not be possible. These students competing are the future of the steel industry, they are business owners, purchase agents, and welders who have hands on experience using our material.
