When we started Palouse Fiber Packaging a few short years ago, we made the decision early on: we wouldn't wait for someone else to make manufacturing sustainable. We'd do it ourselves through practical innovation, collaboration and a very healthy dose of impatience.
Our team calls this Impatient Sustainability- the belief that progress doesn't come from waiting, but acting, testing, and improving every single day and that Sustainability isn't an idea we are chasing, it's something we are doing.
We took this approach to our challenges:
We aren't going wait for some more funding, we are going to use the funding we have to create sustainable solutions.
We aren't going to wait for engineering, we are going to engineer solutions.
We aren't going to wait for customers, we are going to deliver sustainable products for free if we need to.
We aren't going to wait for someone to tell us how to do something, we are going to roll up our sleeves and figure out how to do it.
With these mindsets we have been able to accomplish sustainable innovations at rapid paces and much lower price points than traditional methods. We have been able to tailor solutions for our customers that they couldn't believe was possible.
