🚒🏆 What a great day at the Howell County Fire Engine Rally!

Pomona Fire Protection District had a great showing and brought home a few trophies!

🥇 1st Place – Bucket Brigade
🥇 1st Place – Truck Pull
🥈 2nd Place – Egg Race
🥉 3rd Place – Tug-of-War

And with mutual aid assistance from Lanton Fire and Pottersville Fire, the fire departments brought the Police vs. Fire Tug-of-War Traveling Trophy back to the fire side! 💪🔥

We also want to congratulate Chief Dennis, who was recognized for his 11 years of service as President of the Howell County Fire Chiefs and Fire Officers Association Board. That’s a lot of years dedicated not only to our department, but to supporting and strengthening the fire service throughout Howell County. Congratulations, Chief, and thank you for your service and leadership!

Awesome job by everyone who competed and helped make the day such a great time. It’s always good getting together with the other departments, having some fun, and enjoying a little friendly competition.

Now let’s hope everybody can get a little rest before the next set of tones drops! 😂🚨

Great job to all the departments involved!

Pomona Fire is asking everyone to PLEASE DO NOT BURN.

Hot, dry conditions combined with lower afternoon humidity over the next several days will increase our fire danger. It won’t take much for a small fire to get out of control.

🚫 No outdoor burning
🔥 Use extreme caution with anything that can create a spark
