We have been doing this a long time and we have customers frequently that don’t understand on what to do or how to deal with their insurance company. Osage County 911 Communications will be celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week Sunday, April 9th through Saturday April 15th. This week is set aside each year to honor the men and women of 9-1-1 who serve our community tirelessly by answering emergency calls, dispatching Law, Fire, and EMS, and rendering life-saving assistance to those in need.

recognizes 911 dispatchers as first responders and provides them with the same resources of fire, EMS or, law.

Our Telecommunicators are a dedicated group of men and women committed to serving our community and we want to make this week special for them. Each year, our Telecommunicators are provided with small tokens or gifts from our county and local responders, along with food and drinks as a special thanks. This year, we would like to get our community (YOU) involved!

Consider “Adopting a Dispatcher”. This is a special way for the community to thank each individual for the work that they do. Appreciation can be shown by handwritten notes or cards, small gift cards, or gift baskets. We are excited to see how creative our community can be! Adopting a Dispatcher is ideal for individual families, work/office professionals, church groups, friend groups, or anyone else who would like to participate.

Here is how you can participate. Osage County currently has 12 telecommunicators on staff. To request a Telecommunicatior name or group of Telecommunicators, send us a message here on Facebook.

In your message, please notate who you are, what organization you/your group are from (if any), and how many names you’d like.

During the week of April 9th-15th, your care packages can be mailed to or dropped off at our center. If choosing drop off, our address is 900 St Paul Ave in Pawhuska. Pick up can be arranged also by emailing [email protected] or calling 918-287-3131 ext. 245.
