Dream Acres Sport Horses

Dream Acres Sport Horses Welcome to the dream! Dream Acres Sport Horses is a breeding/training facility located in Ponce de Leon, Florida. She participated in Pony Club and Young Riders.

The trainer, Katie Wooten Bryant, strives in making her horses and her students into successful competitors. Katie brings about riders that are both confident and competitive. All of her horses are bred to succeed in any discipline, especially in eventing and dressage. Katie has been riding ever since she was a child. She trained with many successful riders such as Julie Richards, Jodie Kelly, Sal

ly O' Connor, David O' Connor, Ralph Hill, Mike Huber, Mike Winter, and Britta Johnston. She also spent some time in Germany to train. Katie is an upper level eventer and has competed at 4th level dressage. She is a USDF Bronze Medalist and is aiming for her silver. Katie has a goal of making it to Rolex one day. San City is her stallion and also one of her competition horses. He has wonderful bloodlines and he is passing it down to his offspring. Katie also has two other competition horses, EM Aquataine and EM Fuerst Independence, who are also amazing horses. Keep track of Katie and her team as she goes to many shows in 2012!

I have a few slots left! I’m so excited for this, we have Luke Cornelius coming to help with our beginners and will be having a different guest instructor each night for our evening rides for our Intermediate/Advanced riders. Nikki Hall, Cassell Wates and Chaney Adair have all agreed to donate some of their time to educate our young riders!!!

What a wonderful first day at our Pony Palooza Day Camp! 🐴☀️

We spent the morning in the arena riding, getting to know our ponies, and building confidence in the saddle. After our rides, campers learned all about horse colors and markings while taking a tour around the farm to meet all of our four-legged friends.

We enjoyed lunch with friends, shared lots of laughs, and got creative making special keychains using hair from our favorite horses’ tails for a special keepsake to remember the day! We wrapped up camp the best way possible by splishing, splashing, and cooling off with some slip n’ slide water fun.

Special shout out to Crystal Miller Vay for helping me teach this awesome group of kids!

We still have openings in our upcoming single-day camps:

June 30 Pirates & Ponies Adventure
July 21 Cowgirl & Cowboy Roundup
July 28 - Dream Acres Horse Olympics

Ages 5–18 • $100 per day • 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Message us to reserve your spot!

Another fantastic weekend at Mahan Farm! We never seem to leave without smiles on our faces, horses and riders who are a little more educated, and often a nice collection of ribbons to bring home.

One of our favorite parts of this show was introducing our newest team member to the exciting world of eventing. Watching riders gain confidence, learn new skills, and discover a love for the sport is what it’s all about.

Thank you to everyone at Mahan Farm for always putting on such a wonderful event and Lindsay for being Tula’s biggest cheerleader🥰 We’re already looking forward to the next one! And a special thank you to Linda Crabtree for being an ultimate horse show grandma/groom and Daniel Bryant for being our ultimate whatever we need done and Lauren Pryor for letting me get her daughter hooked(;

’Twas the night before Young Riders Camp, and all through the barn,

The teenagers were packing with cheer in their hearts, eager for the adventure that would soon start.

The horses stood listening, ears perked to the clatter,

For a six-hour journey to Young Riders was certainly a matter!

The saddles were cleaned, the bridles hung with great care,

In hopes that the horses would be brave, calm, and aware.

Trunks were packed full of boots, breeches, and treats,

While riders imagined galloping down cross-country streets.

There were nerves, there was excitement, there were dreams yet untold,

Of partnerships strengthened and memories worth more than gold.

Tomorrow we load up and head down the road,

Ready for whatever adventures Young Riders may hold.

Wish our team safe travels as we set off in the morning! We are excited, grateful, and ready to represent Dream Acres at Young Riders Camp! 🐴❤️

🍂 Here’s your friendly reminder to register for Fall Semester Academy! 🍂

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time we only have 2 spots remaining on Wednesday.

Dream Acres Academy offers so much more than riding lessons. Our students experience a unique educational environment where learning comes to life through horses, hands-on experiences, and meaningful friendships.

Academy students develop:

🐴 Confidence and independence
🐴 Leadership and responsibility
🐴 Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
🐴 Public speaking and presentation skills
🐴 Horsemanship and horse care knowledge
🐴 Goal setting and perseverance
🐴 Teamwork and communication skills
🐴 Time management and organization
🐴 Compassion, empathy, and emotional regulation
🐴 A strong work ethic and sense of accomplishment

Through weekly horsemanship lessons, riding instruction, educational presentations, hands-on projects, journals, outdoor learning, and barn responsibilities, students gain real-world skills that extend far beyond the arena.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of all is watching children discover their strengths, build lasting friendships, and develop confidence that carries into every area of their lives.

We absolutely love watching our Academy students grow not just as riders, but as capable, kind, hardworking young people.

🍁 Fall Academy is nearly full with only TWO spots left! Message us today for registration information.

That’s a WRAP! Our first official semester of Dream Acres Riding Academy ended with a fantastic show where these kids could show off how much they had grown and learned the past three months! Let’s keep in mind most these kids came never having sat on a horse. They can tack, untack, feed, care for their horse. They were able to execute a dressage test as well as walk trot over a course of poles. They have made friendships and bonds as they have worked together and helped one another. I’m ecstatic with how much they have learned. They have shown up weekly with big smiles and a great attitude, the parents have made hours of sacrifice to get them here and I’m so grateful for the parents, kids, my family and my personal staff/volunteers for trusting in me and my program to get this going! Mostly I’m grateful for the horses that TRULY make this possible!!!
Fall registration is now open!!! Please secure your spot!! We will have classes Monday and Wednesday now!!

It’s Sunday!!! The day we let the horses rest.

A day off is such an important part of good training. Muscles recover, minds relax, and horses come back stronger, happier, and more willing to work. We ask a lot of them during the week, and I truly believe the quiet days matter just as much as the hard ones.

In a world that pushes constant work and nonstop showing, we’ve learned there’s so much value in balance. Rest is not falling behind. Rest is part of the program.

One thing that makes a huge difference in our breeding and training program is having a REALLY good farrier. Soundness and consistency matter so much in what we do, and we’re incredibly thankful for Jamey DuBose and the quality of work he puts into every horse here.

Our horses stay sound and able to do their jobs because of the care and attention he has given them through the years from the time they hit the ground, to their first jumps, and over all their courses.

Jamey has become a huge part of our farm life, he is kind of like family after nearly 20 years, the kids come running when they see his truck to get whatever treat he has in store for them and usually stay for a good laugh, some free advice, or to give him an update on their life, and they are always learning something from him. I’m grateful not just for his skill and talent with the horses but for the kind of person he is and the valuable role he’s played in our success through the years.

Thank you Mr. Jamey.
