Sherman's Glass

09/28/2026

Big news, Tangi! 🏆🎉 We have some massive updates, milestones, and a quick heads-up to share with our amazing community!

First, a huge THANK YOU! Because of your incredible support, Sherman's Glass Inc. has been voted Best Automotive Glass Replacement and Repair for the 8th Year In A Row in the Daily Star’s Best of Tangi Contest! We are so honored!

This award comes at a perfect time of transformation for our family business. After many wonderful years, I am passing the torch and transferring ownership to my little brother!

This allows us to celebrate two huge family milestones:
👴 Dad is officially retiring! He’s stepping away from the shop to enjoy his well-deserved free time with his 5 grandkids; the youngest of which is only a few months old!
🤝 Focusing on community. Handing the keys to my brother lets me dedicate my time to the local non-profits I love, including the Krewe of Omega, the Ponchatoula Rotary Club, and the American Legion Post 47.

🗓️ IMPORTANT UPDATE:
To handle our location transition and get our new business setup perfectly ready for you, Sherman's Glass Inc. will be temporarily CLOSED for the entire month of October.

Don't worry—we will see you in November, ready to give you the same award-winning service you know and trust!

As always, remember to shop local. When you need glass work, you have the legal right to choose your shop—don't let insurance companies steer you to massive national chains owned by overseas conglomerates.

Thank you for 49.5 amazing years, Tangi. We can't wait to serve you in our next chapter! 🛠️❤️

We were proud to support the Tangipahoa Chamber today as a Silver Sponsor for an incredible luncheon featuring U.S. Senator John Kennedy.

Senator Kennedy brought his signature quick wit and insightful perspective, reminding everyone in attendance why "America is star-spangled awesome!"

🚗 Ever wonder why a windshield repair doesn't completely disappear? 🧐

We get this question a lot at Sherman’s Glass Inc.! Here is the quick science behind why a repaired chip always leaves a tiny, faint "scar."

Windshields are engineered for safety. They are made of two separate layers of glass bonded together by a strong, clear plastic interlayer (called PVB).

If your windshield were just one single sheet of glass, a professional repair would be almost entirely invisible. But because light has to bend and pass through multiple layers, light refraction catches the repair site. That is what causes that slight mark you can still see!

Our expert technicians always inject high-quality resin to restore your windshield's strength and stop the crack from spreading. While it won't be 100% invisible, it will save your windshield and keep you safe on the road! 👍

Have a rock chip that needs fixing before it spreads? 📞 Call us today or visit us at the link below to book your appointment!
