If you paid less than 30 or 40 dollars for your trauma shears, they will likely fail you when you need them like mine did this morning. Luckily I had multiple pairs of this trash on my kit. Buy great quality trauma and emergency equipment(not good, great). Cheap or poor quality, and great quality equipment both come with a price. The cheap stuff can give you a false sense of readiness and fail you when you need it. I knew better. Lesson learned. Apollo is fine and I’m looking for a dumpster to chunk about 8 pairs of shears in. Be safe and God bless.

I may not be an expert in trauma, but I understand that it can happen anywhere, anytime with only seconds to act. Not too many years ago I carried this blue backpack with this booboo kit in it and literally thought I was prepared. After an awakening, a new passion for learning how to treat trauma and a little training, I’m on a mission to be better prepared to treat critical blood loss and other trauma related injuries. Rest In Peace little buddy. I’m gonna miss you. We’re all gonna miss you. You fought the good fight. I’m a better human because of you. I’ll always cherish the times we had. This afternoon Master Trooper Adam Gaubert was escorted from the medical facility to Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home by LSP Motors and his brothers and sisters in blue.

At the same time, the suspect who ambushed Trooper Gaubert was released from the hospital and taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish jail. Since the suspect was taken into custody Saturday night, he has been handcuffed. Those handcuffs are symbolic to every Trooper within LSP. Those handcuffs belong to Trooper Gaubert.
