This is one of the many tools we use to provide safe and accurate applications of herbicides. The mesonet is an outstanding tool and has tons of useful information for all agriculture needs.

Before applying volatile herbicides take a few minutes to look at the Mesonet Inversion Conditions Map. It is located under the temperature section. It provides real time information on whether an inversion is occurring in your area. An inversion indicates a warm boundary layer of air is over a cooler layer near the surface. It greatly increases the odds of herbicides drifting off target. If you see red numbers such as at Norman on this map avoid herbicide applications until conditions improve.
