If you've worked with me over the past decade, chances are you've met Lucky.
He's attended discovery calls, sat through website builds, approved countless logo concepts (mostly by falling asleep next to them), and has faithfully served as Chief Morale Officer at Chris Eder Design.
Ten years ago, he made his first road trip from Maryland to Florida. Since then, he's logged thousands of miles as my copilot, traveling from the coast of Maine to the mountains of Colorado, joining me on client visits, coffee shop work sessions, and creative adventures all across the country.
He's also developed a few strong opinions.
Every French fry belongs to him.
Pizza crust is non-negotiable.
If it crunches, it's fair game.
As for my singing...I'm convinced he's my biggest fan. He has listened to thousands of miles of questionable concerts from the passenger seat and has never once asked me to stop.
Running a small business can be exciting, exhausting, rewarding, and unpredictable. Through every late night, every launch, every deadline, and every new chapter, Lucky has been there with a wagging tail reminding me to step away from the computer, take a walk, and enjoy the journey.
That's not a bad business lesson either.
Happy 10th Birthday, Lucky.
Thanks for being the best coworker, travel buddy, office manager, stress reliever, and inspiration a guy could ask for.
Here's to many more years of creating, exploring, and chasing the next adventure together.
