The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, not only a talented musician, but also a true titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library has received multiple Library of Congress Literacy Awards and, in 2018, Dolly visited us to donate the program’s 100 millionth book to our collection. She even hosted story time. 🦋❤️

Dark & Stormy Valley Forge

My mother grew up very close to Valley Forge National Historical Park , so it was really important to show this park to my son. We missed seeing Washington’s HQ because it’s being repointed. Also, no pics from Fort McHenry, because it rained, but both have excellent museums. Let’s call it a draw.

Loved Wright Brothers NMem . Completely obsessed with the Mission 66 Visitor Center, which is on a National Historic Landmark. The exhibits inside are amazing too. That orange!!! 🍊
