An AMAZING show Friday night, a hayride with family on Saturday, trunk or treat at church on Sunday, and ALLLL the fall fun in between!!

🎄❤️ WHATNOT COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS — I NEED YOUR HELP! ❤️🎄

Resellers, friends, and our amazing Whatnot community, I recently found out that our local foster care office has received only 1/3 of the donors needed to provide Christmas gifts for the children this year.

And y'all, that absolutely breaks my heart. 💔

My mind immediately went to what Jen's Cozy Cottage was always intended to be about — GIVING BACK!

🎅 WHATNOT COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS — CHARITY RAID TRAIN! 🎅

I want to bring our incredible community together to make Christmas special for these children!

❤️ 10-minute selling spots for participating sellers!

❤️ 100% of proceeds donated toward Christmas gifts for local foster children!

❤️ Buy It Now donation spots for customers who simply want to contribute!

🎁 HERE'S EXACTLY WHERE THE MONEY WILL GO!

I personally plan to take every dollar raised and purchase Christmas gifts for these children.

But I don't want to just buy random toys and drop them off.

I want to know what each child actually wants and needs! Their ages, interests, and Christmas wishes. I want to work with our local foster care office to make sure every gift is thoughtfully chosen and personalized.

Because every child deserves to feel seen, remembered, and special on Christmas morning. ❤️

I also want complete transparency! We'll share how much we raise, what we purchase, and the final delivery to the foster care office, while protecting the children's privacy.

We can't fix everything. We can't erase the sadness some of these children have experienced or change every circumstance.

But we CAN ease the financial burden on foster parents who have opened their homes and hearts.

We CAN make Christmas morning brighter.

And we CAN make those babies smile! 🥹❤️

Sometimes giving back isn't about changing the whole world. It's about changing someone's world, even for a moment.

This time, we're not just taking over… WE'RE GIVING BACK!

When we started doing these Vintage Whatnot Takeovers, we had no idea just how big they would become. Thousands of buyers, incredible sellers, amazing giveaways, and a community that continues to blow us away!

But for Takeover 7, we want to do something a little different. ❤️

Lucy and I want to put the spotlight on the SMALLER SELLERS!

The ones showing up every day, working hard, trying to grow their businesses, and dreaming of someday having hundreds of people in their shows.

Because here's the thing… every big seller was once a small seller. We all started somewhere. We all remember what it felt like to have five people watching and hoping someone would place that first bid.

And we truly believe there's enough room at the table for EVERYONE.

This event is going to be about bringing our vintage community together, introducing buyers to sellers they may have never discovered, and using the platform we've been blessed with to help others grow.

We're still going to have the excitement, the incredible vintage, the giveaways, and all the craziness you expect from a Takeover! 😂 But this time, we want the biggest winners to be the sellers who just need someone to give them a chance.

Being a live seller gives you the freedom to be any kind of seller you want—but please choose to be kind.

I have honestly been floored lately by the way I’ve seen some sellers speak to their customers. You may have beautiful things, but how you treat people matters. Your inventory may bring someone into your show, but kindness is what will make them want to come back.

I always want people to leave our shows feeling happier than when they came in. I hope you remember something funny and chuckle later. I hope you’re excited about your new piece—even if you got an absolute steal!

I never want a buyer to feel guilty for getting a great deal. As sellers, we understand the risk we take when we start something low. Buyers deserve the chance to find that once-in-a-lifetime deal, just like discovering a treasure at a yard sale or Goodwill. That thrill is part of what makes this fun!

And I’m speaking directly to other sellers here: the old saying that the customer is always right still rings true. People’s budgets are stretched. Gas prices are high, the world feels heavy, and the things we sell are often little luxuries that bring someone happiness.

Please don’t take that happiness away by embarrassing a buyer, making them feel guilty or being rude to someone who is spending their hard-earned money while supporting you.

Beautiful things are wonderful—but a beautiful heart will take you much further.

Kindness matters. It’s good for your business, good for your community and good for your soul. ❤️

Well, I’ve officially decided what I’m asking for this Christmas! 🎄😂

Of course, I can’t make it easy on my husband and ask for a dozen roses or a pretty necklace. Nope! I want a vintage TV with a built-in VHS player for my cozy kitchen! 📺❤️

Just imagine me baking cookies while watching all my favorite old Christmas movies! 🥹
