New at Arts Northwest — Introducing the Idaho State Spotlight Showcase!

We're thrilled to announce a first-of-its-kind showcase at the 2026 Arts Northwest Conference in Boise, Idaho (October 19–22), presented in partnership with Arts Idaho.

Six Idaho artists will be selected through our juried process to perform for presenters, agents, and industry professionals from across the West — receiving free conference registration, an exhibit hall table, access to all conference events, and a complimentary Arts Northwest membership.

Interested in more than one showcase opportunity this October? Go for it.

The Performing Arts Consortium, the of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, Arts Professionals Network, and Arts Northwest all have showcase conferences happening within days of each other this October.

If you’re invited to showcase at more than one, don’t panic—we’re talking. Our teams are committed to coordinating schedules where possible so artists can take advantage of multiple opportunities. We can’t guarantee every travel puzzle can be solved—but we’ll absolutely try.

So apply where you’re excited to perform. We are thrilled to see you shine on every stage. Plus, all our applications are on iwanttoshowcase.ca so it is easy to reuse your content for multiple showcases.

...as voted on by this year's conference-goers, and with every decibel of well-earned ovation, we give you: TAP INTO SOUL WITH SOLOMON JAYE!!!

Blending multi-octave vocals and world-class tap dancing on a soulful setlist featuring both classic and contemporary chart-topping hits, Solomon Jaye’s TAP INTO SOUL offers an exciting new take on a timeless genre of music. From “I Feel Good” (James Brown) and Let’s Stay Together” (Al Green) through “Superstition” (Stevie Wonder) and “September” (Earth, Wind & Fire) to “Shape of You” (Ed Sheeran) and “Uptown Funk” (Bruno Mars), the incredible music featured in this high-energy show (accompanied by Jaye’s frenzy of fast footwork and even some surprise instrumental solos) transports listeners from the 1950s to today in the blink of an eye!

The venue was gorgeous (shoutout Patricia Reser Center for the Arts), the showcases were supreme, and we had an all-around amazing time with all who took part.

Pillars of the West Coast music scene, they carry the torch of their music around the world, and can be found touring as a duo, as well as with the Caleb Klauder Reeb Willms Country Band, their bluegrass band the Cali Cutups, and with the Foghorn Stringband,. Fans old and new exude admiration for the timeless sound that these two produce, capturing the essence of American roots music.
