Being extremely dry outside because of no rain, do not burn outside. Multiple brush fires and mulch fires have erupted over the past few days in the area.

With the Nation's Birthday approaching Fireworks is a major concern also. Make sure you know the state laws for handling them.

We tested our rescue boat along side of our new River Rescue boat preparing for the season. The new to us 16' Brigg River Rescue boat is docked in the river on our new floating storage system. This allows rapid response to all rescues on our beaches and river all the way to Oak Harbor if needed..... Please stay safe this season and enjoy your summer...

Port Clinton Student Government Day......We had a blast with them at the station. Had a few transplants from other departments..... They wanted to hang out with the fun group.... Thanks to Port Clinton Fire and Rescue members for the help today....

This morning we hosted 84 children and 14 teachers from Bataan Elementary's kindergarten. They learned about stranger danger, poisons, fire safety, fire gear, EMS and Fire Equipment. Thank you to our crew for doing such a great job.....

Today we hosted Bataan's preschool glasses at the fire station. They learned about smoke alarms, what to do if there is a fire and identifying poisons in the household. They toured the station, ambulance and fire trucks. Thank you to Captain Gutman, Rebekah Husky, Matt Archacki, Alva Conyer and Izzy Knowlton for taking care of the children and their parents.

Tomorrow night before you go to bed set your clocks ahead for Spring.
Remember to test all of your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are working. Replace the battery if required.

Today Port Clinton Fire and Rescue and Danbury Township Fire and Rescue were honored to be part of the memorial service for Dr. Harold Brown. His life, accomplishments and service to his country are a great inspiration to all who knew him.
