Sony pulling 135,000+ AI-generated tracks from streaming platforms is making major headlines, but raises some really thought-provoking points that we should all be sitting with.

On one hand - protecting our clients' voices, likenesses, and creative legacies from unauthorized deepfakes is absolutely something we take seriously. When someone can generate a fake track that sounds exactly like an artist without their consent, that's a real threat to brand integrity and the trust audiences have in authentic releases.

BUT... the questions being raised about who actually benefits from broad enforcement actions are valid. 🔥

The reality is this: major labels have entire legal teams dedicated to these fights. Independent artists experimenting with AI as a creative tool? They don't have those same resources. And when we start drawing hard lines around "authenticity" in an industry that's been using auto-tune, pitch correction, and digital production for decades... it gets complicated real fast.

Here's what I keep coming back to - the conversation can't just be about removal and enforcement. We need to be talking about:
