We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable First Aid, CPR & AED Instructor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating individuals on essential first aid, CPR, AED techniques and emergency response skills.
This role requires effective communication and public speaking abilities to engage participants in a classroom setting while ensuring that students gain practical knowledge and confidence in their skills. All necessary equipment will be supplied to the hired trainer including CPR dummies, first aid supplies and trainer AED devices.

Duties

* Implement supplied lesson plans that cover first aid, CPR, AED and emergency response topics.
* Conduct engaging classroom sessions that facilitate learning through interactive discussions and hands-on practice.
* Assess student understanding through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
* Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.
* Stay updated on the latest first aid, CPR & AED guidelines and best practices to ensure accurate instruction.
* Provide feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement.
* Promote awareness of the importance of first aid, CPR & AED training within the community.

Requirements

* Proven experience in teaching or adult education, preferably in a first aid, CPR & AED setting.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
* Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for adult learners.
* Instructor certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is required; additional certifications such as OSHA Outreach training are a plus.
* Experience in public speaking and engaging an audience is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver in person safety training programs to our clients employees
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and training materials
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety awareness
- Prepare reports on safety performance and trends

Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, and EHS standards, as well as workers compensation law
- Experience in developing and delivering effective safety training programs
- Strong understanding of CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures
- Proficient in report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis for accidents and incidents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Let’s talk disinfecting......
All bleach is NOT created equally. Low/no splash bleach or scented bleach does NOT disinfect as effectively. Check your bottle of bleach and be sure it’s “regular” bleach. It should say “Kills 99.9% of Common Household Germs*”
Low/no splash bleach says it should not be used for cleaning or disinfecting.
