RCE Traffic Control, Inc. We are a local traffic control business offering traffic control services and flagging to counties in Washington State.

We are a small traffic control business (of 16 years) offering traffic control services and flagging services to public and private contractors and businesses. We mainly work in Kitsap and Mason counties, Gig Harbor, Bainbridge Island but have worked in Seattle, Tacoma, Issaquah, and other areas outside of our local range.

We are a small traffic control company based in Port Orchard, WA since 2001 with customers all over the Pacific Northwest and we are looking to hire more Flaggers and TCSs to help fill our customer’s growing needs. We currently employ 25 Flaggers and 4 TCSs and subcontract out another 35-45 Flaggers. We need Flaggers and possibly TCSs in the following areas:
Kitsap County, Pierce County, King County, Snohomish County and Jefferson County
• Flaggers start at $16.50 per hour
• TCSs start at $23.50 per hour
• If you do well and show a good work ethic, we’ll put you on
Prevailing Wage jobs - $38-46.29 per hour
• Any work between 8 pm and 6 am is time and a half
• Any work on Sundays is double time
• We reimburse any mileage over 100 miles per day, ferry passes
and bridge tolls
• We do our best to keep flaggers on jobs that are close to
where they live.
• 40 hours not guaranteed but most customers are working 38-
40 hours.
• Flexible schedule, great for 2nd job or retirees.
MUST have:
• Flagger Certification Card...if not already certified, contact us
and we can arrange a class! Class is one day/8-10 hours.
• Traffic Control Supervisor Certification Card (for TCSs)
• 24” Stop/Slow paddle (diamond-grade/reflective paddles
preferred)
• White, yellow or orange hard hat with reflective stripes
• Class III Vest (reflective vest with sleeves, not sleeveless Class II
style/rip n’ zip style)
• Two-Way Radios
• A personal, reliable vehicle to follow crew throughout the day
to multiple sites. No bicycles, buses, skateboards, taxi/Uber or
getting dropped off unless it’s a stationary job (rare).

It's a 1-day, 8-10 hour class with an open book test at the end.
