BeARcade (Bear Arcade) Music Productions, LLC (BMP) is a full-service studio and live sound company located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley outside of the village of Port Republic. The principal owner, manager and engineer is Gene Bowlen who has been a musician for most of his life and a sound engineer for the past fifteen years. deavors with the Port Road String Band and the Highlander String Band. BMP was formally organized in 2008 as an LLC organization and has recently constructed a world class studio facility in Port Republic. The services include multiple configurations of condenser and dynamic microphones, Crown and QSC amplification, Mackie ONYX preamps/mixing board and numerous signal conditioning and effects options. The mixing board also provides digital connection to DAW software to record up to 16 channels of your finest 'live' sound. We also provide a high quality music studio environment for recording your music, voice overs or audio/video tracking. Our studio facility is located in the pristine countryside of the Shenandoah Valley offering a natural and relaxed atmosphere to allow performers to produce their best work. The facility is comprised of a large live room, drum room, vocal/isolation booths and an acoustically accurate control room for mixing and mastering. The recording equipment includes a wide selection of high quality condenser and ribbon microphones, a superb mixing board by Soundcraft, the Ghost LE, as well as Lynx AD/DA converters and ProTools for mixing in the digital audio workstation (DAW). The live room, for the recording musician is a 20' x 36' space with a soaring post and beam roof opening up the space for the music to ring. The control room, 12' x 17', is adjacent to the live room and houses the mixing board, studio monitors (Focal Solo Be6), various analog signal processors, the DAW and many associated computer-based plug-ins allowing for tracking, mixing and mastering of the musical performance. The best dynamic, ribbon and condenser mics from AKG, Peluso, Sennheiser and Shure are available to match the sound capture that your musical sound is based on.
