🚨If $400 to detail a CAR sounds reasonable, stop expecting someone to clean your entire HOUSE for $100. 😮‍💨

I was recently quoted $400 to have my car detailed and it REALLY put things into perspective.

One vehicle. $400.

Meanwhile, some people expect a house cleaner to walk into a massive home with 3 kids, 2 dogs, multiple bathrooms, a kitchen, bedrooms, dog hair, dust, grime, fingerprints, toilets, showers and floors… and somehow $100 should cover it. 🤯

And before anyone comes for me—this is NOT knocking car detailers. They deserve to charge for their skill, labor, products, equipment and time.

👏🏼 AND SO DO HOUSE CLEANERS.

You aren’t just paying someone to “wipe a few things down.”

You’re paying for their time, experience, supplies, equipment, insurance, taxes—and the physical toll of cleaning an ENTIRE HOME.

If we can understand paying hundreds to detail something parked in the driveway, why is it so hard to understand paying appropriately to detail the place we LIVE in? 👀🔥

Cleaners… stop apologizing for your prices.

Unfortunately sometimes as a cleaner/business owner, it can be really disheartening 😢💔
We can walk into a home that has YEARS of build up, heavy grime, mould, clutter everywhere & areas that clearly haven’t been properly cleaned in a very long time.

We put hours of hard work into it. Scrubbing, wiping, moving what we can, getting down on our hands & knees and genuinely giving it everything we’ve got like literally blood sweat & tears & then we stand back at the end & think WOW What a difference ? 🙌🏼

& then sometimes, waiting for good feedback instead of hearing “thank you”, we receive not even a handful of photos pointing out tiny things or things that physically cannot be fixed by cleaning, like permanently stained silicone, discoloured tiles or damage, or the bin not taken out ? Out of the whole entire day of cleaning this is what we get ?

I’m not going to lie… it’s deflating & even sadder when it’s my workers who done the clean & I feel so bad for them when I know they poured there heart & soul in!!

We’re cleaners We’re not magicians. Not renovators.

We will ALWAYS take responsibility if we genuinely miss something. We guarantee our work & we’ll always try to make things right.

But please remember, when a home is extremely built up, there is a difference between something being dirty & something being permanently stained, damaged or deteriorated.

Sometimes I just wish people could see the amount of work that happens between the BEFORE and the AFTER.

Because my team works bloody hard, and I’ll always stand behind them when I know they’ve given a job everything they had.

Dear Renters:
This is why you never flush paper towels..feminine or MAN wipes and especially not Huggies or any brand of baby wipes. These guests had to deal with an issue created by the previous weeks renters neglect. DO BETTER PEOPLE. Just because its not your home..doesn't mean that this is okay. People's lack of give a damn still shocks me after 25 years of doing this.
