Ever feel like newsletters are just a breadcrumb trail of tips, always one step away from a paywall?
We’ve been around long enough to spot an automated funnel a mile away.
If being your own boss means wading through endless “quick wins” and half-answers, only to get nudged toward a product or course for real help, you’re not alone.
Most newsletters dish out one tiny tip at a time (and some keep nagging: “buy now and save!” you know the drill). The expectation? If you *really* want the whole answer, get your wallet ready.
Why do we bother?
Because we’re all hunting for real help. When business gets tough, hope springs eternal that “click here to get XYZ…” might be the answer to get unstuck.
But honestly, most of the time you have no idea if what’s behind the paywall will move the needle for your business. (But we sure do know when it doesn’t.)
Here’s the thing: Solopreneurs deserve guidance that’s genuinely helpful, not just more breadcrumbs and upsells.
When you do everything yourself, actual actionable advice without a maze of “maybe this’ll help” teasers is gold.
That’s why I write the newsletter companion to my podcast, My Solopreneur Life, to be all about real talk. The lessons, mistakes, breakthroughs, and strategies I’ve learned from two decades in the trenches so other solopreneurs don’t have to grind as hard figuring it out.
I love teaching what works (and what doesn’t). Saving time, sharing the real stories, helping my fellow solopreneurs feel less alone and more inspired.
It’s the kind of content I stand behind: helpful, honest, sometimes messy, always practical. My newsletter is more like an old-school newspaper (if you remember those!) with sections on inspiration, strategy, stories, and tactical tools. All built to help you move forward, not just "buy forward."
Today’s issue is all about inspired action and how to turn your sparks into momentum. I pour my heart into every issue and I’m especially proud of it because I CARE.
So I thought I'd share today's issue with you.
What’s the most incomplete “tip” you saw in your inbox this week? You know, the one that was mostly tease and no substance? Drop it in the comments and let’s commiserate (and maybe get a little closer to stuff that actually works). ❤️
P.S. Link to today's My Solopreneur Life newsletter is in the first comment.
