While working from home can be convenient and cost effective there are some serious risks that companies are starting to consider as they see the highest rates of fraud in history. Whether your company is large or small the risks are equal. Working from home leaves a corporation vulnerable to system attacks. Working from home also leaves an employee or business owner alike open to more personal risk than from an office address.

Like any crime, cyber risk will have neither a defined solution nor a concrete endpoint. There is no simple solution nor any fixed game plan. What senior management needs to do is develop corporate skills and capabilities—just as it does for marketing or other functions.

Keep in mind that when you support these businesses instead of main street in your town, you not only put the mom and pop stores out of business but you also increase your own taxes since these businesses are no longer in your town paying a portion of the towns expenses, you also bring on more crime since vacancies are abandoned and vulnerable, you deprive your children of a place to be social since main Street is not as happening, you deprive yourself of the ability to pick up a last min item in an emergency, you slowly change the demographic of your community as some people will be forced to move, you bring down your property value as new comer drive through a vacant main street don't value a neighborhood as highly. A healthy main street is essential for a town on so many levels. This is just the top few. Covid has taken your towns funds and they will not reinvest it into your town. Amazon, Walmart, Apple etc are not coming to your main st. They are not giving your neighborhood children a summer or after-school job where the kids can learn healthy work ethics and self-sustenace and independence with responsibility. Think again when you go to save $10 in Amazon on a purchase that you could have made in town. Spend the extra $10 to buy from main st instead of supporting Amazon. Help keep your town vibrant and profitable. It will help you back in the long run.
